NEW MOON REPORT

Dealing with the Dark Side is likely as the Scorpio focus builds (along with the stolid earth of Taurus and Capricorn). We need to use the skills of going undercover, strategy, tactics, and concentrated will while we avoid the pitfalls of vengefulness, obsession, addiction, or power plays.

New Moon at 4 Scorpio 12, Friday, October 27 at 00:58 AM PDT.
This New Moon is an excellent time to initiate action in regard to investments, loans, joint resources, political support, and anything that involves financial or material assistance from others. It may be necessary to clear out the old in order to make room for the new, so cleaning out, throwing out, or giving away what is no longer needed is a good idea. The New Moon is particularly significant for people born around October 26-30, January 23-27, April 23-27, or July 25-30.

Mars enters Libra, Friday, November 3 at 6:00 PM PST.
The planet of aggression and open action enters the sign of diplomacy and protocol. This is excellent for negotiations, personnel work, and interpersonal attraction. An opportunity exists to balance assertion and accommodation. Graceful movement (dancing, skating, skiing, yoga, Tai Chi) is favored along with new artistic activities or relationships. The velvet glove conceals the iron fist.

Mercury enters Libra, Monday, November 6 at 11:29 PM PST.
A little vacillation may ensue as the planet of the mind dips briefly back into fence-sitting Libra. Perhaps this reflects the close polls in the Presidential race? Thinking and communication are well applied to matters of face-to-face interactions, aesthetics, and teamwork. Sometimes it is possible to see too many sides to issues or to weigh and balance more than is helpful. Social chit-chat is easier now.

Mercury turns direct, Tuesday, November 7 at 6:22 PM PST.
Go ahead and sign those contracts or carry begin anything you put off during the Mercury retrograde period. Be proactive in regard to communication, curiosity, and commerce. (Mercury stays direct until February 2001.)

Mercury enters Scorpio, Wednesday, November 8 at 1:42 PM PST.
Thinking becomes more incisive and probing. This combination is excellent for any kind of investigation, research, or depth psychotherapy. The accent is on understanding what lies beneath the surface-in life and in people's psyches. Focus and concentration become easier. The simile of a "mind like a steel trap" is appropriate. Comments can be a bit cutting, as skills at sarcasm, irony, biting commentary and sharp witticisms are enhanced.

Full Moon at 19 Taurus 47, Saturday, November 11 at 1:15 PM PST.
Comfort is in focus. Motivations will center on finances, sensuality, resources and all the material pleasures of life. The accent is on stability and reliability. What is familiar has appeal. A little pampering (of self and others) is in order. This is an excellent time to enjoy giving and receiving in regard to money, sexuality, and possessions. The Full Moon is extra significant for people born around May 9-14, August 11-16, November 11-15, or February 9-12.

Venus enters Capricorn, Sunday, November 12 at 6:14 PM PST.
Pragmatism reigns where love and money are concerned. This is a time to be practical about pleasures, sensible about relationships, and conservative and cautious where finances are concerned. A conventional approach will generally be more effective. Learning from the past (or older people) is possible.

Sun enters Sagittarius, Tuesday, November 21 at 4:19 PM PST.
Excitement is on the rise. The adrenaline rush becomes tied to enlightenment, travel, education, religion, or anything that expands the mind or enlarges one's horizons. An urge for bigger and better is strong and "over there" (or anywhere else) is likely to appear better than "right here." This idealistic combination is excellent for confidence, risk-taking, adventures, exploration, and intellectual development. The spirit of the quest is alive and well.
