NEW MOON REPORT

This month's New Moon is in Taurus-the sign of comfort, sensuality, finances, and reliability. This would be an auspicious time to begin projects related to anything you earn, own, or enjoy. Pleasure is a major keyword for Venus, the ruler of Taurus, so look for opportunities to add to the delight and gratification in your life.

New Moon at 3 Taurus 32, Monday, April 23, at 8:27 AM PDT.
This New Moon includes Mercury in the Sun-Moon conjunction, so the initiative associated with new beginnings could include anything involved with commerce, communication, or curiosity. Opportunity knocks in Taurean realms: money, resources, possessions, sensual indulgences, and anything that adds to the beauty, comfort, or satisfaction of your life. Using your head (Mercury) to enhance your material circumstances (Taurus) would be quite appropriate. This New Moon will aspect your Sun if you were born around April 22-26; July 24-29; October 25-29; or January 22-26.

Mercury enters Gemini, Saturday, May 5, at 9:54 PM PDT.
Thinking and talking pick up the pace when Mercury enters its own sign of Gemini. Quick wits and an articulate tongue (plus a good ear for comedy) are likely. Anything having to do with the neighborhood (or vicinity), early education, communication, transportation, or the collection or dissemination of information is highlighted. Adaptability, flexibility and a talent for multi-tasking are more likely.

Jupiter opposes Pluto, Sunday, May 6, at 3:48 AM PDT.
Jupiter can highlight luck and opportunity, but can also indicate excesses, extravagance, and over confidence. Since Pluto is in the picture, joint resources (including investments and using money to make money) and business matters are part of the focus. Keep a good balance between optimism and pessimism. Pluto can brood too much, but Jupiter can rush in "where angels fear to tread." Combining the best of both would allow you to aim high, gather lots of information, take calculated risks, and look beneath the surface for hidden motives or subterranean trends.

Polarities are emphasized with any Full Moon (since it involves an opposition). The Taurus/Scorpio polarity includes issues of appetite indulgence versus appetite control as well as questions of yours, mine and ours. Compromise is essential with intimate others. Confrontations could arise concerning money, sex, or possessions. Giving, receiving, and sharing for mutual pleasure is the goal. Inequities in income (and its distribution) may be featured, and the Stock Market is apt to continue to be volatile. This Full Moon is extra significant for people born around May 6-10, August 8-13, November 8-12, or February 5-9.

Neptune turns retrograde, Thursday, May 10, at 6:14 PM PDT.
When a planet turns retrograde, it is usually a good idea to double-check matters having to do with that planet. So, with Neptune, make sure you are on track in terms of artistic, aesthetic, or imaginative projects. (Sometimes, too much daydreaming, overly idealistic standards, or procrastination get in the way.) Keep clear boundaries with healing and helping activities (including volunteer work). Use fantasy wisely, but not too well!

With the planet of assertion and direct, open action turning retrograde, you want to be sure to look before leaping. Confirm your plans before taking the initiative. Keep a good balance between rash and reckless moves versus too much timidity and hesitation. Once you are clear about your desires, they deserve to have your full weight of commitment behind them. Go for it!
