NEW MOON REPORT

The sign of Cancer manages two New Moons this year, so extra emphasis is given to issues of seeking (emotional and physical) security, including land, real estate, family matters, protection, antiques, preservation, guardianship, and nurturing. 

New Moon & Solar Eclipse at 0 Cancer 10, Thursday, June 21 at 4:59 AM PDT.
This first New Moon (of opportunity and initiation) is also an eclipse. Therefore, the challenge is to find healthy, interdependent ways to shine and be significant, sharing the limelight and positive feedback with loved ones. (The goal is to neither overshadow others, nor allow yourself to be eclipsed by them.) Warmth, caring, and emotional ties are highlighted. This eclipse is particularly relevant for people born around June 17-25; September 20-27; December 20-26; or March 18-25.

When the planet of reality harmonizes with the planet of fantasy, the timing is excellent for making your dreams come true. Artistic creativity, practical mysticism, realistic idealism, and any kind of hard work dedicated to bringing transcendent, inspirational, or imaginative concepts into form would be excellent. The professional artist, healer, and idealist are favored.

Mercury turns Direct, Wednesday, June 27 at 10:50 PM PDT.
If you’ve been putting off signing anything, wait no more! Mercury, the planet of communication, paperwork, thinking, and analysis is winging its way forward once more. The emphasis is on using your head and verbal and writing skills for best results.

Lunar Eclipse (and Full Moon) at 13 Capricorn 39, Thursday, July 5 at 8:05 AM PDT.
Parental motifs are highlighted. Pay attention to family matters. Look at the balance between dominance and dependency in your life. Consider who has responsibility within your nest, and whether some duties or obligations should be reallocated. Make sure you are comfortable with both giving and getting aid and assistance. More contact with parental (or authority) figures or more demands on your time from loved ones is likely. This lunar eclipse is particularly significant for people born around July 3-9; October 4-9; January 2-6; or April 1-6.

Venus enters Gemini, Thursday, July 5 at 9:45 AM PDT.
Write those love letters! When the planet of pleasure and affection enters the sign of communication, now is the time to let people know that you care. This is also favorable for diplomacy, or “making nice” with what you say or write. Poetry and other graceful expressions are more possible. A flirtatious note could enter the mix. The motto of Venus in Gemini: “If I’m not near the one I love, I love the one I’m near.” Playful activities are favored.

The planet of thinking and communication enters the sign of emotions and sensitivity, so heart and head will be mixed together. Don’t expect pure rationality (nor pure feelings). A bit of both serves you well. This is an excellent combination for figuring out and clarifying complicated reactions—both in your own psyche and within other people. You readily pick up information about security matters.

The planet of luck, opportunity, and expansion enters the sign of home and hearth. Some people will literally expand their home (physically or taking in pets, plants, people, etc.). This final New Moon of opportunity and initiation occurs with Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter in the sign of Cancer. So, the accent is strong on seeking out Cancerian activities in which you can take the initiative and make things happen—anything involved with food, shelter, clothing, the domestic environment, the land, guardianship, or assistance. This New Moon is particularly significant for people born around July 19-24; October 21-24; January 18-22; or April 17-22.
