NEW MOON IN TAURUS
This New Moon in Taurus is aspecting a Mars/Venus conjunction (in
Gemini) heightening the focus on sensual (and sexual) pleasures and action that centers on physical desires or the
active pursuit of resources and gratification.
New Moon at 21 Taurus 32, Sunday, May 12, at 3:46 AM PDT.
The time is ripe for initiating action in regard to money, material possessions, or feel-good pursuits that your
body can enjoy. Sensuality is heightened, and your ability to create comfort is in focus. This New Moon is more
significant for people born around May 10-15, August 12-17, November 12-16, or February 9-13.
Neptune retrograde, Monday, May 13, at 5:11 AM PDT.
A new cycle is likely in regard to compassion, imagination, visualization, or inspiration and spiritual matters.
[Check also where Pisces is on the cusp in your horoscope.] This cycle will continue until Neptune goes direct
October 20th. Dream analysis and inward seeking in regard to matters of higher truth is appropriate.
Mercury retrograde, Wednesday, May 15, at 11:51 AM PDT.
Most people advise caution regarding communications and commerce during a Mercury retrograde period (May 15-June
8). Double-check contracts. Beware of fine print and hidden clauses. Confirm directions and times of appointments.
A new phase may begin in regard to matters of houses with Gemini or Virgo on the cusp. This is an excellent time
for reexamination, analysis, research, and revisions.
Jupiter sesquiquad Uranus, Thursday, May 16, at 10:12 PM PDT.
This aspect is quite restless. The urge for independence is likely to increase. If you've been feeling confined,
the desire to break loose and break free could get overwhelming. Having a positive outlet is advisable-something
that allows for spontaneity and lots of free flow. This can be constructively directed into unconventional
philosophies, unusual education, traveling to weird places, challenging religious doctrines, expanding your
understanding of new technology, or any unusual studies or intellectually challenging or physically adventurous
pursuits.
Venus into Cancer, Monday, May 20, at 6:28 AM PDT.
Indulge yourself with some wonderful food or redecorate the house! The planet of pleasure, beauty, and
satisfaction is entering the domestic realm. Family relations may flow more smoothly, or you may enjoy more time
spent at home or on household projects. Cooking (or eating!) could be very gratifying. Bringing more grace and
beauty into your nest is likely.
Sun into Gemini, Monday, May 20, at 10:30 PM PDT.
This is a time to shine through the mental realm-with ideas, or the way you think, talk, or write. Or, you might
get applause and admiration for your humor and lighthearted approach. A font of trivia could bring recognition.
The accent is on shining through curiosity and intellectual skills.
Saturn opposite Pluto, Saturday, May 25, at 7:45 PM PDT.
This is the final pass of a transit that the world has been dealing with (not very constructively) for about a
year. Powerful struggles and fanaticism are downsides. On the positive level, you can direct this toward focus,
control, self-mastery, and determination to achieve lasting, tangible results.
Full Moon at 5 Sagittarius 04, Sunday, May 26, at 4:52 AM PDT.
This Full Moon is also a Lunar Eclipse, so give it a little extra weight. Mental and physical restlessness are apt
to increase. The polarity of the student, teacher, and traveler is accented. You may want to pursue a grand
adventure or learn something new (or teach others). Expanding your horizons-physically, mentally, and
spiritually-is the goal. This Full Moon is extra significant for people born around May 24-29, August 26-31,
November 26-30, or February 23-27.
Mars into Cancer, Tuesday, May 28, at 4:44 AM PDT.
Action centers on the domestic realm. You may decide to undertake a major project at home, or just put lots of
energy into home-based pursuits. Family could be a strong focus. This restless, "must move" motif needs
a constructive outlet, so doing something within the nest is advisable. If nothing else, rearrange the furniture!
Jupiter quincunx Pluto, Friday, May 31, at 3:06 AM PDT.
Optimism and pessimism square off. Big schemes and new adventures could compete with the desire to finish up and
bring things to closure. Freedom needs are at odds with the urge for intimacy. Beware of overconfidence in
handling other people's money and resources. These two planets can be combined well by working to increase joint
resources, expand intimate contacts, or use both breadth and depth in research.
Uranus retrograde, Sunday, June 2, at 5:12 PM PDT.
A new cycle is possible in regard to individuality, new technology, friends, or your orientation toward the
future. (Check also where Aquarius is on the cusp in your horoscope.) This cycle is likely to last until November
4th when Uranus turns direct.
Mercury direct, Saturday, June 8, at 8:13 AM PDT.
Now is the time to move into direct action with all the items that you were double-checking, researching,
revising, and improving during the retrograde cycle. Go forward with communication, commerce, writing, and other
intellectual and business matters. |
