NEW MOON REPORT
June 10, 2002
by Maritha Pottenger
NEW MOON IN GEMINI
This New Moon is also a Solar Eclipse,
adding to its potency. Since the Moon's Nodes are involved with an eclipse, we expect more
emotional intensity. Old, emotional buttons could be pushed. People may find themselves
reacting in ways that have to do with habit patterns from the past. Family interactions
are apt to be particularly volatile.
New Moon at 19 Gemini 54, Monday, June
10, 2002, at 4:48 PM PDT.
Although this New Moon is in lighthearted Gemini, since it is an eclipse and conjuncts
both the North Node and Saturn, we expect a much more serious motif. Karmic patterns may
be repeated. Family members can easily "push our buttons" and we may react in
childish ways. Mastering old habit patterns could be challenging. This is an opportunity
to learn to surmount the past, to extend our awareness and education into new territory
and let go of emotional residues that are holding us back. This New Moon could be extra
relevant for people born around June 9-14, September 11-16, December 11-15, or March
10-14.
Jupiter semisextile Saturn, Tuesday,
June 11, 2002, at 00:37 AM PDT.
Mild harmony between confident Jupiter and competent Saturn suggests the chance to
make our (Jupiter) visions manifest (Saturn). We can turn dreams into reality, bringing
together the best of optimism and caution, of growth and consolidation. Business matters
are likely to go well.
Venus into Leo, Friday, June 14, 2002,
at 1:17 PM PDT.
As the planet of love moves into the sign of flash, dash, and drama, we would expect a
few more spectacles on the romantic front. Whether it is special effects, a "grand
gesture" by a loved one, or a blockbuster movie, the accent is on impressing people.
In relationships, someone wants to be a star -- to be admired, adored and applauded. Take
turns with your beloved in the roles of center stage and audience!
Sun into Cancer, Friday, June 21, 2002,
at 6:25 AM PDT.
Warmth and family feelings are accented as the Sun moves into Cancer. We want to
reconnect with loved ones, and spending time in domestic circumstances could have more
appeal. Compliments will work wonders. Voicing our appreciation is an excellent idea.
Applause and admiration within the nest bring many positive results.
Full Moon at 3 Capricorn 11, Monday,
June 24, at 2:43 PM PDT.
Relationships focus on issues of safety and security. Parental motifs are strong. We
may do more caretaking, or face extra responsibilities on the domestic front. Pressure
between time and energy devoted to home versus work in the outer world is apt to rise.
Look for a happy medium. This combination does well at activities that involve careful
protection, conscientious caretaking, or competence within the domestic realm. The Full
Moon is extra significant for people born around December 24-29, March 22-27, June 23-28,
or September 24-29.
Mercury into Cancer, Sunday, July 7,
2002, at 3:37 AM PDT.
The planet of thinking and communication goes into the sign of feelings and family.
People may find it easier to discuss emotional matters, or to blend head and heart. A
greater objectivity about familial concerns is possible. Discussions within the nest could
rise. You might gather much information about domestic concerns, e.g., cooking, genealogy,
household crafts, etc. Issues of safety and security are in the forefront of our thoughts.
