NEW MOON REPORT
March 2, 2003

by Maritha Pottenger

The opportunities signified by a Piscean New Moon can include art, beauty, compassion, idealistic pursuits, inspirational activities, or anything that offers people a glimpse of other worlds and transcendent possibilities.

New Moon, 12 Pisces 06, Sunday, March 2, 2003 at 6:36 PM PST.
Pisces New Moons can be very dreamy and feel undefined, but are excellent for initiating action that leads to creating more beauty in the world or helping and healing people. Imaginative capacities are heightened. The barriers between the worlds are thinner and more easily pierced. Otherworldly motifs abound. This New Moon could be extra significant for people born around March 2-6, June 1-5, Sept 3-7, or Dec 3-7.

Venus into Aquarius, Sunday, March 2, 2003 at 4:41 AM PST.
With the planet of love and pleasure entering the sign of originality and unconventionality, it is time to break the rules a bit. Try something different in terms of gratification. Be open to fresh possibilities in regard to romance. Something off-the-beaten track may appeal.

Mars into Capricorn, Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at 1:18 PM PST.
A productive spurt is likely. Mars in Capricorn emphasizes responsibility, reliability, and much energy applied to professional efforts and achievement. People are likely to push themselves harder.

Mercury into Pisces, Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at 6:05 PM PST.
With the planet of thinking and communication entering Pisces, visionary potentials are enhanced. On the down side, confusion or feeling overwhelmed by input is possible. This is an excellent time for creating beautiful language, using your hands gracefully, or aiding and abetting artistic efforts through eye-mind-hand coordination or mental agility.

Uranus into Pisces, Monday, March 10, 2003 at 12:54 PM PST.
Uranus spends about seven years in a sign, so originality and new perspectives will be emphasized in the realm of art, philanthropy, spiritual quests, and inspirational activities. An avant garde style is quite possible. The accent will be on individuality within a Larger Whole. Humanitarian ideals may be strengthened. People with a Pisces emphasis in their horoscopes need to own their own individuality-breaking free from the confining assumptions and stereotypes of others.

Full Moon, 27 Virgo 25, Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at 2:36 AM PST.
Full Moons are a time to reconcile polarities. In this case, joining the ideal and the real is best accomplished through practical healing, artistic or craftsmanship activities, or sensible steps to create a more ideal world. Realistic mystics will flourish. Perfectionists and people who are still seeking their dream may feel frustrated. This Full Moon could be extra significant for people born around Sept 19-23, Dec 18-22, March 17-22, or June 17-22.

Sun into Aries, Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 5:01 PM PST.
The Sun entering the first sign is a time to initiate new action for the year. The emphasis is on beginnings. Spring is in the air (or will be) and optimism is on the rise. Courage, confidence, and willingness to break new ground are likely.

Mercury into Aries, Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 4:17 AM PST.
Mercury in Aries is excellent for quick thinking, fast reactions, and skills with metal tools or weapons. Less constructively, people who are inclined toward rash statements or impulsive speech could end up with their feet in their mouths. Direct, forthright verbal expression is usually preferred.

Pluto turns retrograde, Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 9:14 PM PST.
A new cycle is possible in regard to joint resources, power, research, digging beneath the surface, elimination, and hidden matters. This chapter will last until the end of August (when Pluto turns direct). A new phase is possible in matters of the house where Scorpio appears on the cusp.

Jupiter semi-square Saturn, Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 6:15 AM PST.
Although a conflict aspect, Jupiter-Saturn contacts are appropriate times to find a balance between expansion and contraction; between confidence and caution. Used wisely, this can be a time for people to clarify long-range goals and to take that first, practical step to bring cherished objectives into form.

Venus into Pisces, Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 10:15 AM PST.
"Dream a little dream of me." Magic and romance have high appeal. This is a great opportunity for hearts and flowers, but beware of rose-colored glasses or falling for style over substance. Use the fantasy potentials of this combination wisely. Venus in Pisces is particularly gifted in regard to all of the arts.
