NEW MOON REPORT
August 27, 2003

by Maritha Pottenger

Virgo New Moons are excellent times for initiating action that will improve your health, physical well-being, diet, or efficiency on the job or in other practical arenas. You can begin projects that will bring satisfying, lasting results.

New Moon, 4 Virgo, 02, Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 10:27 AM PDT.
Look for a task (that can come to fruition within a year) that will enhance your physical body or increase your productivity on the job. Common sense is highlighted. Practical matters fare well. Repairs and improvements are favored.

Mercury turns Retrograde, Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 6:42 AM PDT.
Caution is indicated in regard to communication and commerce. Confirm appointments. Double-check data. Make sure all the details are right. Read all the fine print. This is a good time for research, review, revisions, and reanalysis.

Pluto turns Direct, Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 8:35 PM PDT.
A new cycle is possible in regard to investments, joint resources, or intense, emotional matters. This cycle is likely to last until March 24, 2004 (when Pluto goes retrograde again). Look at the house in your horoscope that has Scorpio on the cusp. A new chapter may arise pertaining to matters of that house.

Jupiter opposes Uranus, Friday, August 29, 2003 at 9:38 PM PDT.
Restlessness is on the rise. This combination is excellent for travel, for reaching out toward new mental or spiritual horizons, for enlarging your circle of friends, or for risking for greater gain. It can be bit rash, but suggests much lively thinking and a desire for independence and wide-open possibilities.

Saturn quincunxes Neptune, Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 10:11 PM PDT.
Tension exists between realism and imagination, between our ideal images and what is possible in the material world. If integrated, this is excellent for artistic craftsmanship or healing work. Less constructively, dashed dreams, perfectionism, or cosmic discontent are possible.

Full Moon at 17 Pisces 34, Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at 9:37 AM PDT.
The Virgo/Pisces polarity continues the emphasis on finding a way to bring together the visionary and practical sides of life, particularly in close relationships. The major challenge is to face the facts and work on what needs to be changed, while keeping enough divine forgiveness to overlook normal, human foibles. This Full Moon is particularly relevant for people born around September 8-13, December 8-12, March 7-11, or June 6-11.

Uranus enters Aquarius, Sunday, September 14, 2003 at 8:48 PM PDT.
This is Uranus’ last little foray back into Aquarius until the end of the year. On December 30, Uranus enters Pisces again and will not return to Aquarius for another 84 years. So, any last minute inventiveness, focus on new technology, radical breakthroughs, progressive ideas, and original thinking is best done now!

Venus enters Libra, Monday, September 15, 2003 at 8:59 AM PDT.
Sweetness and light are in the air. The planet of love enters the sign of relationships and affability is more accessible. People are willing to be kind and tactful. They are more likely to give priority to a beloved or to partnership and teamwork. Diplomatic efforts could flow a bit more smoothly.

Sun enters Libra, Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 3:48 AM PDT.
Face-to-face interactions are still highlighted, but more ego is in the mix. People want to shine—to be applauded and acknowledged—within their relationships. As long as both people get a chance to be “the Star,” it can work well. If one person is continually the admiring audience, problems could arise. Look for ways to stroke everyone’s accomplishments within a team setting.
