The traditional initiation favored by a Libra New Moon is likely to involve other people. Love relationships, negotiations or building alliances in the business world could be highlighted. Beauty and aesthetics are another possible focus. Taking action to increase harmony, grace, love, or beauty within your life is appropriate.

New Moon & Solar Eclipse, 10 Libra 19, Monday, October 3, 2005 at 3:29 AM PDT.

This New Moon is supportive for initiation in terms of joint ventures, aesthetics, or negotiations and may be significant for people born around October 2-6, March 29-April 3, June 30-July 5 or December 31-January 3. Since a Solar Eclipse is also present, we would expect a bit more “oomph” for this pattern. The sextile to Saturn suggests that pragmatism is an important asset. Working within “The Establishment” and following traditional paths is likely to go well. (The quincunx to Uranus reaffirms that now is not the time to be a rebel.) The conservative approach is most apt to be successful.

Venus enters Sagittarius, Friday, October 7, 2005 at 6:01 PM PDT.

When the planet of love enters this sign of freedom and adventure, the lure of the open road could grow stronger. Travel has more appeal. People enjoy religion, philosophy, education or other activities that broaden the mind or expand the horizons. Charisma and interpersonal appeal tend to increase; this can be a magnetic, persuasive combination. Multiple relationships are, however, possible. Some people maintain their independence by having romances with more than one person! Grand gestures are possible in the realm of partnerships.

Mercury enters Scorpio, Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 10:16 AM PDT.

A desire to dig beneath the surface of life is likely to increase. This combination shows the incisive, penetrating mind. A bulldog tenacity is directed toward intellectual matters—investigating, uncovering, and relentlessly mulling over facts and ideas. Greater talent in regard to reading nonverbal cues is likely. Information is understood as power; negative expressions can include verbal emotional blackmail, innuendoes, slander, or passive aggressive speech. On the high side, greater insight into one’s own psychological processes—and those of other people—can be achieved.

Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse, 24 Aries 13, Monday, October 17, 2005 at 5:15 AM PDT.

This Full Moon is probably significant for people born around April 13-17, July 15-19, October 16-20, or January 13-17 and packs an extra punch since it is also a Lunar Eclipse. The wide conjunction to Jupiter suggests raising ambitions—going for the gusto. A sextile/trine to Pluto indicates that positive action can be taken in terms of joint resources or shared financial matters. Endurance and focus could be excellent. The quincunx to Mars reminds us that “No one is an island.” Don’t go it alone. Get support from others.

Sun enters Scorpio, Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 00:43 AM PDT.

The intensity meter is escalating. A drive to know and understand the secrets of the universe (and other people) is on the upswing. Dogged determination is highlighted. Issues revolving around shared possessions, pleasures, power, and resources are emphasized. Emotional reactions could be extreme—all-or-nothing swings are possible. Dedication, stamina, and perseverance are all positive potentials. Suspiciousness, paranoia, and an inclination toward power struggles are the possible down sides. People can, however, rise to overcome very tough challenges.

Jupiter enters Scorpio, Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 7:53 PM PDT.

Opportunity knocks. This period (until late November 2006) is an excellent one for seeking out support from others—emotional, financial, business, etc. Chances are better for getting a loan, a return on investments, royalty income, consulting contracts, etc. Luck is tied to the arena of joint resources and money (and possessions) that are shared with others or come through other people. Sexual drive could increase as well. The extravagance represented by Jupiter might be reflected by going overboard in terms of spending (shopaholic) or intimate encounters.

Neptune turns Direct, Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 4:25 PM PDT.

A new chapter is possible in regard to matters of the house in your horoscope that has Pisces on the cusp. This new phase will last until Neptune goes retrograde again—in late May 2006. Changes could occur in regard to compassion, mysticism, imagination, beauty, idealism, or any activities that seek to create a better or more beautiful world.

Mercury enters Sagittarius, Sunday, October 30, 2005 at 2:03 AM PDT.

The silver-tongued orator is back. This combination is excellent for entertainment, quick wit, and charismatic, magnetic speech. Sales and promotional efforts may go well. Wheeler-dealers are fluent and facile. Understanding comes more quickly and speech tends to be rapid.
